Financial Coaching Process & Expectations

Many people do not like discussing money and their personal finances as they may feel it's a reflection of their self-worth...it's an incredibly personal topic.  So if you are experiencing financial hardship and money stress and thinking about working with a financial coach, it is critical that you find someone you feel you can trust and are comfortable with discussing your personal financial situation.  In this section, I would like to detail why I feel I can be that person for you and outline my financial coaching process and what you can expect throughout the journey to get you on the path towards greater financial wellness.

I always start each client's initial meeting with a free 30-minute consultation that can be done by either Zoom or phone call.  This call is entirely dedicated to helping you...I am not promoting or selling anything.  This call is strictly to understand why you reached out and to get a general sense of your current situation and needs.  This consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to discuss the opportunity of working together to improve your financial situation.  The coach-client relationship is a collaboration, so it is imperative you hire someone who is not only qualified, but also with whom you are very comfortable.  After the consultation, if you feel we can work together, I would love that.  If not, no worries...I will not hound or bother you.

Should you wish to utilize my services, we can set up an appointment for the initial "deep dive" meeting.  This meeting usually lasts anywhere from 60-90 minutes and is used to thoroughly understand your current financial situation as well as your financial goals and future needs.  Based on the information gathered, I will provide you with a detailed personal financial report which evaluates various key indicators of your financial situation.  We will review this report at the follow-up meeting and develop a customized financial action plan to help you reach your goals.  We can continue to work together for as long as you wish...I will never pressure you into doing something you are not comfortable with...one of my goals is to decrease any stress you may be experiencing, not add to it!  Should you wish to continue the relationship, I will be at your side to offer education, support and accountability to help you complete the steps to reach your goals.  As the relationship continues, we will track and measure the  progress you have made and discuss any modifications needed to address any changes in circumstances and/or future needs and goals.

As a Personal Finance Consultant certified by the National Financial Educators Council, I adhere to the fiduciary responsibility by always acting in the best interests of my clients.  Should you choose to work with me, I will provide you with the  information, support, and tools required so you can make your own qualified money management decisions as we work on getting you to a place of greater financial wellness.
